Our Little Gymnast

Sophie loves gymnastics. She first became interested in gymnastics when she saw the Beijing Olympics on TV. She loved to sit with me at night and watch some of the events, and she was even able to point out some of the gymnasts by name. Her favorite was Nastia Liukin. We thought it would be fun this fall to sign her up in a little gymnastics class offered by the city, so she could give it a try herself. The first day before class started she turned to me, and with her signature loud voice said, "Mom will Nastia be there today?" Dang, how do you tell a hopeful 3 year old no. I did my best to dodge the question, and she was soon enthralled in her little class. I must admit my little Sophie is a natural (Thanks to her Dad). She has been having so much fun, I think we will sign her up for a real class when these lessons are over.

That was so fun to read and see pictures of little Sophie. I had forgotten that you had signed her up for that. It looks like she had so much fun! Go Sophie, can't wait until we get to stay up late and see you in the Olympics!
